PIERCE, ID — A 21-year-old Sandpoint man was hospitalized Monday afternoon following a motorcycle accident along Highway 11 near Pierce.

According to the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office, deputies, along with Pierce Ambulance and Timberline Rescue, responded to the crash at approximately 2:40 p.m. on October 6 near milepost 32.

Investigators say the rider, identified as Anders Eastley, failed to negotiate a curve, causing his motorcycle to leave the roadway and enter a creek alongside the highway. Eastley was transported by ambulance to Clearwater Valley Hospital for further evaluation of his injuries.
