Orthopedic Sports Medicine Surgeon Joins Gritman Orthopedic Team

MOSCOW, ID — Gritman Medical Center has welcomed Dr. Leo Chough, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine physician, to its orthopedic team.

Fellowship-trained in sports medicine, Dr. Chough has worked with athletes from high school and college programs to NFL players, Winter X Games competitors, and contestants from Survivor. He previously practiced in the Moses Lake, Washington area.

“I’m my patients’ advocate and want to treat everyone as though they were a family member,” Dr. Chough said.

His specialties include orthopedic surgery, total knee and hip replacements, arthroscopic procedures, shoulder repair, and robotic-assisted surgeries. Dr. Chough earned his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and completed his training at Barnes Hospital.

He joins Dr. Marvin Kym and Certified Physician Assistant Dan Turnblom at Gritman Orthopedic Surgeons, where the hospital’s hip and knee replacement programs are recognized as Centers of Excellence by The Joint Commission.
