KAMIAH, ID – On October 30, 2025, at approximately 4:02 p.m., Idaho County Dispatch received a report of a verbal dispute between two individuals. Deputies responded to the scene and made contact with both parties involved.

During the investigation, deputies discovered that one of the individuals, identified as 52-year-old Kevin Hill of Kamiah, was a convicted felon with active protection orders prohibiting him from possessing firearms. Hill was subsequently arrested for felony unlawful possession of a firearm, as well as misdemeanor criminal contempt of court, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia.

The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office stated that the arrest underscores its commitment to community safety and its efforts to address concerns involving prohibited individuals in possession of firearms.
