LEWISTON, ID — The City of Lewiston is advising motorists of a temporary road closure at the intersection of Powers Avenue and 20th Street to allow for sanitary sewer main construction.

According to a press release from the city’s Public Works Department, work is scheduled to begin Monday, January 5, and is expected to continue through Friday, January 16. During that time, Powers Avenue will be closed at 20th Street while crews complete the sewer main installation. The project will be conducted by contractor ML Albright.

Once work at the intersection is completed, construction is expected to continue south on 20th Street as part of the same sewer main project.
