MOSCOW, ID – Nez Perce County Magistrate Judge in Lewiston, Sunil Ramalingam, has been appointed to fill the Latah County Magistrate bench in Moscow.
The Magistrate Commission of Idaho’s Second Judicial District appointed Ramalingam to the bench on Monday after interviewing four finalists. He has been a Magistrate Judge in Lewiston since 2019. Prior to that, Ramalingam was an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Idaho’s College of Law in Moscow. He earned his law degree at the UI.
Eight attorneys applied for the post when former Magistrate Judge Megan Marshall was appointed to fill the Latah County Second District Court bench by Governor Brad Little in May. That post opened when Judge
John Judge retired from the felony court in January.
