Eastern Washington detectives seek help identifying suspects in boat theft

SPOKANE COUNTY, WA — Detectives with the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help identifying three men connected to the theft of a boat, motors, and trailer stolen earlier this month in eastern Washington.

According to investigators, the theft happened between 4:30 and 5 a.m. on May 1 in the Four Lakes area along South State Route 904.

The victim reported a silver and red Hewescraft boat, two motors, and an E-Z Loader trailer were stolen from a parking lot.

Surveillance video reportedly showed two red Chevrolet pickup trucks arriving at the scene before at least three men were seen moving between the vehicles. Detectives said a newer red four-door pickup later drove away towing the stolen boat and trailer, while an older standard-cab red pickup with a mismatched tailgate eventually left the area traveling north.

Authorities are asking anyone who recognizes the men in surveillance photos, knows the location of either truck, or has information about the stolen boat and trailer to contact SCIU Detective J. McQuitty at 509-477-3212 and reference case number 10058052.
