MOSCOW, ID – University of Idaho theatre arts professor Kelly Eviston-Quinnett is starring in “Propeller One-Way Night Coach,” the directorial debut of John Travolta. The family-friendly film premiered earlier this month at the Cannes Film Festival and is scheduled for release Friday on Apple TV.
The film follows a young airplane enthusiast and his mother during a cross-country trip to Hollywood set during the golden age of aviation. Clark Shotwell of Coeur d’Alene stars alongside Eviston-Quinnett.
Robert Caisley, chair of the university’s Department of Theatre Arts, said Eviston-Quinnett’s role reflects the level of artistry within the program and serves as inspiration for students.
Eviston-Quinnett said the experience gave her the opportunity to spotlight the university’s theatre program on an international stage.
