WEIPPE, ID — A 57-year-old man is in custody after deputies executed a search warrant for illegal narcotics Sunday evening at a residence in Weippe.

According to the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office, deputies, assisted by an officer with Idaho Fish and Game, served the warrant at approximately 5 p.m. on March 2 at a home on Tater Lane.

During the search, authorities reported seizing methamphetamine, scales and packaging materials commonly associated with the distribution of illegal narcotics. A stolen firearm was also recovered from the residence.

Brian Crooks, 57, was taken into custody and is being held at the Clearwater County Jail.

The case remains under investigation.
