
KAMIAH, ID – The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Garmin activation on Tuesday morning, September 16, after a hunter suffered a dislocated knee in rugged terrain off Maggie Butte Road outside of Kamiah.
Deputies located the injured man around 11 a.m. and were able to extract him from the area using a side-by-side vehicle. He was then transferred to waiting medical personnel.
Sheriff Doug Ulmer expressed appreciation to Kamiah Ambulance for their assistance in the rescue effort.
