COLFAX, WA – Two people were injured Wednesday evening in a head-on crash on State Route 195, about three miles south of Colfax, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Troopers say the collision happened around 5:28 p.m. at milepost 34. A northbound 2012 Dodge Ram crossed the centerline and struck a southbound 2019 Chevrolet Equinox. Both vehicles came to rest in the roadway, blocking traffic in both directions.
The driver of the Dodge Ram, 47-year-old Christopher R. Duxbury of Spokane, was injured and transported by ambulance to Whitman Hospital in Colfax. The driver of the Equinox, 19-year-old Blaise A. Banks of Homer, Alaska, was taken by ambulance to Pullman Regional Hospital. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
State Patrol reports indicate neither drugs nor alcohol were involved. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Both vehicles were totaled.
