LEWISTON, ID – Beginning Monday, August 11, sections of 3rd Street in Downtown Lewiston will be closed for an urgent wastewater repair project expected to last up to two weeks. The affected areas are marked in green on the provided traffic map.

The closure will reduce on-street parking for Transit, Public Works, and Community Development. Motorists and visitors should plan to park farther from their destinations during this period.

The intersection of 3rd Street and Beachey Street will be fully closed, while Capital Street and D Street are expected to remain open to traffic. Transit operations will shift bus parking to a lot north of Capital Street, and motorcycle stalls in the area will be unavailable until the work is completed.

Drivers are urged to follow posted detour signs and allow extra time when traveling through the area.
