LEWISTON, ID — The Lewiston Fire Department will conduct its final controlled burn of the Stewart Avenue training structure on Thursday, Nov. 20, beginning around 9 a.m. Crews will stay on scene until the site is fully safe.

Stewart Avenue will be closed between Thain Road and 8th Street during the burn, and motorists are urged to use alternate routes and expect increased emergency activity.

Public viewing will be available from the North 40 Outfitters and Zion’s Bank parking lots. The department thanked partner agencies and community supporters who contributed to the multi-week training project.
