Crack sealing planned for U.S. 95 near top of Lewiston Hill

LEWISTON, ID — Drivers traveling U.S. Highway 95 near the top of Lewiston Hill should plan for daytime delays over the next two weeks as crews begin crack-sealing work to extend the lifespan of the roadway.

According to the Idaho Transportation Department, crews are scheduled to begin work on Tuesday, weather permitting. One lane will be closed in one direction at a time while crews are on site, which is expected to cause intermittent delays during daylight hours.

Ramps connecting U.S. 95 and U.S. Highway 195 will also be closed one at a time for several hours as crews work in the area. Traffic will be detoured around the ramp closures while work is underway.

The crack sealing project is expected to take approximately two weeks to complete, though the timeline may change depending on weather conditions.

Drivers are encouraged to check the Idaho 511 system for up-to-date traffic impacts, including the timing of lane and ramp closures, as well as information on other transportation projects statewide.
