LEWISTON, ID — Nez Perce County officials are reminding voters that all absentee and mail ballots for the May 19, 2026 Primary Election must be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day in order to be counted.
According to the Nez Perce County Auditor Recorder’s Office, ballots can be returned by mail, hand delivered to the Auditor Recorder’s Office, or placed in the election drop box located at the corner of 12th and F Street in front of the new Auto Licensing building in Lewiston.
County officials emphasized that ballots received after 8 p.m. on May 19 will not be counted, regardless of the postmark date.
