LEWISTON, ID — As yard sale season gets underway, the City of Lewiston is reminding residents to review local rules before setting up sales and posting signs around town.
According to the city, residents are limited to three yard sales per year, with each sale allowed to last up to 72 hours. Officials also remind sellers to place signs only on private property and remove them promptly after the sale ends.
The city says signs may not be posted on poles, sidewalks or streets, and sales should not block traffic visibility. Hosting resale or consignment sales without proper licensing is also prohibited.
