Flood Repairs Keep Portions of Tucannon Area Closed Through June 5

POMEROY, WA — Flood repair work on Forest Service Road 4712 on the U.S. Forest Service Pomeroy Ranger District is continuing, with a temporary road closure now extended through June 5 as crews complete repairs from flood damage.

According to the Forest Service, the closure remains in place to allow heavy equipment and large vehicles to safely operate in the area while repairs are underway.

As part of the extended closure, several recreation sites will remain temporarily closed to the public, including Ladybug Campground, the Tucannon Trailhead and the FSR 4713 Rock Pit.

Forest officials said closure maps are available on the forest website and at Forest Service offices while the project remains active. Temporary closure signs are also posted along the affected roadway.

Visitors traveling throughout the forest are encouraged to use caution and stay alert as conditions may continue to change during the repair work.
