LEWISTON, ID – The Lewiston-Nez Perce County Airport has announced reduced operating hours at its Air Traffic Control Tower.
“Due to staffing shortages, the Lewiston Nez Perce County Air Traffic Control Tower will have reduced operating hours, effective Monday, March 31, 2025,” says an airport release. “Until further Notice, the tower will be closed on Tuesdays and operate either regular hours of 6 am to 10 pm or limited hours of 7 am to 4:30 pm PDT.”
According to airport tower staff, the change will not impact commercial flights.
“Pilots are encouraged to check Notice to Airmen (NOTAMs) before flying in and out of LWS and verify that they are on the correct frequency,” said the statement.
