LEWISTON, ID – CHS Primeland has concluded its annual Harvest for Hunger campaign by donating nearly $62,000 to The Idaho Foodbank and eight additional community organizations working to address food insecurity.

The Idaho Foodbank’s share of the donation is expected to provide food for up to 101,000 meals.

“CHS Primeland is proud to support our communities in the fight against hunger,” said James Hardy, Senior Director of Operations at CHS Primeland. “Our annual CHS Harvest for Hunger campaign supports local food banks and non-profit organizations through financial and food donations.”

In addition to The Idaho Foodbank, the donation also benefitted:

  • Blue Mountain Action Council
  • J-K Good Samaritan Food Bank
  • North Palouse Community Food Bank
  • St. Mary’s Catholic Church
  • Asotin County Food Bank
  • Christian Life Fellowship, Inc.
  • Troy Seventh Day Adventist Church
  • Camas Prairie Food Bank, Inc.

“This generous donation will support the work of The Idaho Foodbank and our partners working on the ground to help our neighbors facing food insecurity in North Central Idaho,” said Randy Ford, President and CEO of The Idaho Foodbank. “The commitment from the agricultural community to support our neighbors is inspiring.”

The Idaho Foodbank distributes food through a statewide network of over 400 partners. In the last fiscal year, the nonprofit helped provide nearly 22 million meals to Idahoans in need.
