CLARKSTON, WA – TriState Health celebrated a major milestone on Thursday, July 17, recognizing 70 years of continuous service to the Lewis-Clark Valley and surrounding communities.

The anniversary event took place at Evergreen Estates in Clarkston, co-hosted by the Lewis Clark Chamber of Commerce as part of its Business After Hours series. The evening brought together members of TriState’s Board of Directors, health providers, staff, community partners, and the TriState Health Foundation Board of Trustees. Attendees heard reflections on the hospital’s founding, its growth over the years, and its future direction.

Founded in 1955 by a group of local citizens, TriState Health is the region’s only not-for-profit hospital. CEO Kym Clift said the organization’s continued work is both “a responsibility and a profound honor,” reflecting a mission rooted in compassion and long-term community care.

As part of the celebration, TriState Health launched a new campaign: Local Care. Lifelong Commitment. The effort reaffirms the hospital’s focus on delivering patient-centered care while expanding services to meet the growing healthcare needs of the region.

TriState Health operates as a critical access acute care facility on an 11-acre campus in Clarkston. It serves residents in an eight-county region across Washington, Idaho, and Oregon and is the largest employer in Asotin County. Recent accolades include the 2025 Best of the Inland Northwest award and recognition from the American Heart Association and Chartis Center for Rural Health.
